Bollywood Veteran Junior Mehmood Dies of Stomach Cancer

Mumbai: Veteran comedian of Bollywood, Junior Mehmood died at around 2 am on Friday after a long battle with stage four stomach cancer. He was 67 years old.

He will be cremated in the Juhu cemetery after Friday prayers. He is survived by his wife, two sons,  daughter-in-law and a grandson.

During his last days, Junior Mehmood had wished to meet veteran actors Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar. He has starred with Jeetendra in many films and Sachin is his childhood friend.

Both actors rushed to meet Junior Mehmood on Tuesday morning (December 5) morning.

Junior Mehmood was born as Naeem Syed on November 15, 1956. In his career spanning many years from his child-artiste days, he acted in over 200 films including hits like ‘Kati Patang’, ‘Brahmachari’, ‘Mera Naam Joker’, ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’
