“Pushpa” Actor Arrested in Junior Artiste’s Suicide Case

Hyderabad: Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, a supporting actor in Allu Arjun’s blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was arrested on Wednesday (December 6) in connection to the suicide of a junior artiste. It is alleged that the arrested actor took some pictures of the junior artiste and was threatening to post them on social media.

This female junior artiste of the Panjagutta area committed suicide on November 29. Police investigation proved that she was being harassed by Jagadeesh. It is alleged that on November 27, Jagadeesh took some pictures of the woman without her knowledge. Then he threatened to post them on social media. This affected the woman severely and she took the extreme step to end her life.

Jagadeesh absconded when the case was registered against him. He was arrested on Wednesday and sent to judicial remand. He is booked under charges of abetment to suicide.

It is not known whether the shooting of ‘Pushpa 2’ will be affected because of his arrest.

Jagadeesh started his career in the Telugu film industry in 2019 with ‘Mallesham’. His role as Kesava in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ brought him fame. He is also there in the ‘Pushpa: The Rule’.
