3 Female Jatra Artists Killed as SUV Hits Tree in Kendrapara Dist

Kendrapara: At least three members of a local jatra troupe died in an accident near Ostapur under Kendrapara Sadar police station limits in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Monday morning. Three more persons in the vehicle were also critically injured.

The deceased are yet to be identified. The injured were initially taken to the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital. Later on, they were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. All of the injured received severe head injuries.

As per reports, the accident took place as the driver of the vehicle for some reason lost control over the steering wheel and the SUV crashed to a roadside tree.

The members of the jatra troupe were reportedly returning home after performing in a local function.
