+3 & PG Students To Get Scholarships Under Nua-O Scheme in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will start scholarships for students of Plus 3 and Post Graduate (PG) classes under the NuA-O scheme, announced 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V K Pandian at NC College campus in Jajpur on Tuesday.

According to him, under this new scholarship scheme, the boys will get Rs 9000 each, and the girls will be eligible to get 10,000. But students, whose parents pay income tax or are permanent government employees, will not be eligible for this scholarship scheme.

The scholarship amount will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries between February 20 and 25, Pandian said.

According to Pandian, Odisha is the first state in the country to start such a scheme where around 95 per cent of the students are to get scholarships.
