3-Yr-Old Girl Raped by Relative in Rourkela

Rourkela:  A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped on Tuesday by a relative in Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh.

Angry neighbours thrashed the accused Sandip Majhi (25) ruthlessly before handing him over to the police.

Sandip happens to be the uncle of the victim. He stays in Jharkhand and around 10 days back he came to Rourkela in search of work. He was staying at the victim’s house in a slum under Udit Nagar police station limits.

On Tuesday afternoon, he lured the minor with some eatables and then raped her. While committing the crime, Sandip was in an inebriated state.

Hearing the girl’s screams for help, neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued her. The injured girl was admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital. The angry locals overpowered the accused and beat him up mercilessly before handing him over to the police.
