3 School Teachers Returning from Poll Duty Die in Accident in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Three school teachers returning from polling duty lost their lives when the SUV in which they were travelling had a head-on collision with a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district on Wednesday.

These three polling officials were returning back after submitting Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at Kondagaon district headquarters.  They met with the accident in the early morning near Bahigaon village under Keshkal police station limits.

Two of the polling officials in the sports utility vehicle (SUV) died on the spot. The other official succumbed to injuries during treatment in a hospital.

The second phase of Chhattisgarh elections will be held on November 17.
