4 Arrested for Bihar Journalist’s Murder

Patna: Four persons were arrested in connection to the murder of a journalist, Vimal Yadav, in Raniganj of the Araria district of Bihar. The journalist was shot dead at his residence during early morning of Friday.

The deceased Vimal Yadav was working for Dainik Jagran. Four assailants shot at his chest and he died on the spot.

According to Bihar police sources, two of the four arrested men were directly involved in the murder of Vimal Yadav. Vimal’s father has named eight accused in his FIR.

The accused were also involved in the murder of Vimal Yadav’s brother in 2019. Vimal was the sole witness in that murder case. The deceased journalist was yet to testify against his brother’s killers during the trial.
