5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Pakistan; Tremors Felt in Delhi, Neighbouring Region

New Delhi: Tremors were experienced across Delhi and the neighbouring region on Wednesday when an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on the Reichter Scale struck Pakistan at 12:58 pm, stated the National Center for Seismology.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km at 31.177 degree North and 70.630 degree East, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was at 415 kilometres west of Amritsar in Punjab.

Tremors of this quake were also felt in parts of Afghanistan and in the northern region of India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to properties.
