54 Women Among 57 Arrested in Relation to Group Clash in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Fifty-seven more persons including 54 women were arrested by the personnel of the Mancheswar police station in Bhubaneswar on Friday in relation to a violent group clash in Padmakesharipur village in Benapanjari panchayat on October 26.

According to police sources, till now 80 men and 54 women have been arrested in this group clash case.

Several persons were injured in the violent group clash that occurred in Padmakesharipur on October 26 night. Both warring groups pelted stones and bottles at each other.

Two separate cases have been registered based on the complaints lodged by both groups against each other. Earlier, the police arrested 77 men from both groups.
