6 Killed, 8 Injured as Autorickshaw Hits Car in Bihar

Patna: At least six persons lost their lives and eight others were injured critically when an auto-rickshaw collided with a car on National Highway-31 near Bihat Ratan Chowk in Bihar’s Begusarai district on Tuesday morning.

Five victims died on the spot, while another died during treatment at a local hospital. As per reports, the accident occurred when the car tried to overtake another vehicle and hit the autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction at around 5.30 am. The auto-rickshaw driver fled from the spot after the collision.

Eleven people were travelling in the autorickshaw when the accident occurred.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and ordered officials to offer the best medical services to the injured.
