AAP’s Sanjay Singh Suspended from Rajya Sabha for Rest of Monsoon Session

New Delhi: AAP’s Sanjay Singh was suspended from the Rajya Sabha for the rest of the Monsoon Session on Monday by the Huse Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. Leader of Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal moved a motion for his suspension.

Just before the adjournment of the Rajya Sabha, this suspension motion against Sanjay Singh was adopted by a voice vote. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned until 2 pm.

Singh was named by Dhankhar for creating a ruckus in the House. He was alleged to be disrupting the proceedings by his unruly activities from the Well of the House.

The monsoon session is scheduled to continue till August 11.
