After Assuming Office, PM Modi Signs 1st File to Release Rs 20 K PM Kisan Nidhi Funds

New Delhi: After assuming office for the record third term, as his first decision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday signed the file to release the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi funds for the farmers.

This instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi, a program aimed at supporting farmers, will benefit around 9.3 crore farmers as around Rs 20,000 crore will be sent to their bank passbooks.

After signing the file, PM Modi said,”Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come,” he said.
