Alleging Betrayal, Ex-MLA of Satyabadi Ramaranjan Baliarsingh Quits BJP

Bhubaneswar: In the midst of continuing Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly polls, former Satyabadi MLA Ramaranjan Baliarsingh resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Baliarsingh sent his resignation letter to Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal. In his letter he claimed that the saffron party’s betrayal to him and the people of Satyabadi during elections over the last few years was the reason behind his quitting the party.

He was elected to the Odisha Assembly in 2004 as an independent candidate. He joined the BJD in 2018. In the same year he left BJD to join the BJP.
