Armed Robbers Loot Cash, Ornaments from Gold Trader in Cuttack

Cuttack: Unidentified armed miscreants allegedly looted cash and gold ornaments from a gold trader in the Kandarpur police station area in Cuttack district on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the broad daylight robbery took place at the Matagajpur level crossing.

A group of five to six bike-borne armed robbers intercepted Bikas Patra, a gold trader of Hatasahi. They fired to threaten and snatch away the valuables from Patra.  Luckily no bullet hit him.

Investigation is underway by the police.
