Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri To Reopen for Pilgrims in May, Check dates

New Delhi: The three revered Himalayan shrines – Badrinath Dham, Kedarnath Dham and Gangotri Dham will reopen their doors for the pilgrims in May. It will also mark the start of Uttarakhand’s Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage.

The portals of Shri Badrinath Dham are scheduled to open on Sunday, May 12, at 6 am.

The gates of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open on May 10, at 7 am.

The auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the gates of Shri Gangotri Dham would be reopened for the pilgrims.

The Char Dham Yatra, encompassing the pilgrimage to the four sacred sites of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri,

takes place from April/May to October/November, depending on the weather conditions.
