Bangkok Trips Will Be Easier, Thailand to Waive Visa Requirements For Indians

To attract more tourists, Thailand is planning to waive visa requirements for arrivals from India and Taiwan from November to May 2024. This time period is said to be a high tourist season in Thailand.

As per this relaxation, tourists from India and Taiwan can enter Thailand for 30 days.

Indians are Thailand’s fourth largest tourism source market after Malaysia, China and South Korea. Around 12 lakh Indians visit Thailand every year.

In September, Thailand scrapped visa requirements for Chinese tourists.

According to official assessment, from January to October 29, there were 22 million visitors to Thailand, generating 927.5 billion baht (USD 25.67 billion.

Thailand is targeting about 28 million tourists this year.
