Bomb Explodes in Cow’s Mouth in Ganjam District

Berhampur: A cow was seriously injured when it chewed up a crude bomb which exploded in its mouth in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Tuesday.

According to reports, this incident occurred at Ramapalli village under Tanganapalli panchayat of Chatrapur block. A cow grazing in field mistook a bag filled with crude bombs thrown in a field as a food packet and started chewing it. The bombs exploded injuring the mouth of the cow.

Locals rushed the injured cow to the veterinary hospital for treatment.

According to sources, the crude bombs were kept in the field to hunt wild boars that enter agricultural fields at night.

In August 2023, a cow was injured similarly at Fulta village when a bomb exploded in its mouth.
