Administrative Shakeup: Trilochan Mohanty Appointed as Joint Secretary to Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday announced a minor reshuffle within the OAS cadre.

Trilochan Mohanty, previously serving as Keonjhar Sub-Collector, has been appointed as Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

This decision, announced by the General Administration Department, is significant as Mohanty hails from the Chief Minister’s home district.

In another move, Manoj Kumar Behera, a senior OAS officer, has been transferred from his role as Land Officer at the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA). He will now serve in the office of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida until further notice.

These changes mark the first bureaucratic reshuffle since the BJP formed government in the state after securing 78 of 147 Assembly seats. Notably, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress won 51 and 14 seats, respectively.
