Odisha CM To Personally Review Performance Of Depts From May 22

Bhubaneswar: The performance of each department will be evaluated starting on May 22, just a few days before the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government in Odisha completes its fourth year in office.

All of the Chief Minister’s Cabinet members have lately received letters from him informing them of this.

“The BJD government will complete the four years of its 5th term in office on May 29. This is a proud moment for all of us. I congratulate you all on this. We had gone to the 2019 elections with certain promises to our people. We have been working hard to win the confidence of people,” the Chief Minister said in his letter to the ministers.

“We have fulfilled many of our promises in these four years. This has vindicated our claims that we believe in work not words. I will review the functioning of each department in the presence of the departmental secretaries from May 22. Each department is requested to apprise me of the implementation of its five important programmes during the review meetings,” added the letter.

The ministers would also report to the chief minister about how the 5T and Mo Sarkar principles are being applied in each of their departments.
