Bus Overturns, Catches Fire Burning a Woman Alive as Driver Falls Asleep in Telangana

Hyderabad: A female passenger was burnt alive as a private bus travelling to Chittoor caught fire after it overturned in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district on Saturday. Another passenger suffered minor injuries.

According to police sources, the accident occurred at 3 am, as the driver fell asleep at the steering wheel. He lost control of the bus and it overturned. The ill-fated bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Chittoor with 40 passengers.

All passengers except a woman managed to get out of the bus which caught fire as it overturned. The woman couldn’t get out as her hand got stuck. She was charred to death inside the burning bus. The victim is yet to be identified.
