Capital Hospital’s Sanitation Workers Cease Work Demanding Durga Puja Bonus

Bhubaneswar: The Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar became a mess on Tuesday as the sanitation workers took up a cease work agitation and held demonstration over a list of demands. Their demands included payment of bonus ahead of the Dussehra festival and salary for 30 days instead of 26 days.

The sanitation workers demonstrated outside the hospital director’s office and threatened to continue their agitation until their demands are fulfilled.

Because of their agitation, the hospital was littered with garbage and a filthy smell was all around as the premises were not cleaned up.

More than 200 sanitation workers of the Capital Hospital have joined this agitation.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Capital Hospital has written to the concerned agency managing the sanitation work to take immediate measures to resolve the issue and restore the cleaning and sanitation services at the earliest.
