Chandrababu Naidu’s Remand Extended Till Sept 24 by Andhra Court

Visakhapatnam: An Andhra Pradesh court in Vijayawada on Friday extended the judicial remand of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu till September 24. Naidu was arrested in a case pertaining to the AP Skill Development Corporation scam. As per reports, the special court for the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Vijayawada extended the former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s remand by two days.

The TDP chief has also filed an FIR quash petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which will be heard at 1.30 pm on Friday.

Chandrababu Naidu was arrested on September 9. He is alleged to have misappropriated funds from the Skill Development Corporation, leading to an alleged loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer.

The former CM and TDP chief is now lodged in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison.
