Coal-Loaded Goods Train Catches in Balangir Dist, Firefighters Douse Flame in Time

Bhubaneswar: A wagon of a coal-loaded goods train on its way to Visakhapatnam from Raipur caught fire near Turekela in Balangir district on Tuesday morning.

As per reports, the Station Master of Turekela noticed smoke coming out of a wagon while the goods train was crossing Turekela station. He immediately took measures to stop the train.  Receiving information firefighters rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Around a week back, a compartment of a train was gutted when it caught fire at the coaching depot at Puri railway station.
