Congress Suspends MLA Mohd Moquim & Ex-MLA Chiranjib Biswal from Party

Bhubaneswar: Present MLA Mohd. Moquim & Ex- MLA Chiranjib Biwal were suspended from the Congress party on Saturday. Both these senior leaders of the party were suspended by the AICC on charges of indulging in anti-party activities.

The Odisha Pradesh Congress President, Sarat Pattanayak had complained before the Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) of the party regarding the alleged anti-party activities of these two leaders. The DAC had asked for replies from both of them regarding the allegations made by the OPCC president.

According to sources, the DAC recommended the suspension of Mohd Moquim and Chiranjib Biswal from the party as their replies were not found to be satisfactory. Basing on this recommendation the AICC took this decision.
