Crorepati Assistant Engineer Under Vigilance Scanner in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: To unearth assets disproportionate to income, vigilance officials conducted simultaneous raids at three different places associated with Kishore Chandra Sahu, an assistant engineer (AE) posted in the Public Health department in Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district.

Sahu’s residential house at Mandarbagichapada, official, both in Bhawanipatna town and his ancestral house in Balbaspur village under Narla block raided by the vigilance officials.

As per initial reports,  this assistant engineer owns a three-storey house with a 10,500 sqft buildup area with an approximate valuation of Rs 1.10 crore. He also has two plots in Bhawanipatna town. His bank and insurance deposits amount to over Rs 1.03 crore. Cash worth Rs 2.65 lakh, around 235 grams of gold ornaments, and silver ornaments weighing around 700 grams were among the assets unearthed during the searches.
