For Rs 1500 Dalit Woman Stripped, Beaten, Urinated Upon by Moneylender & Associates in Bihar

Patna: A Dalit woman was allegedly stripped, beaten and urinated on her mouth by a moneylender and his associates in Bihar’s Patna district.

The incident occurred at a village under the jurisdiction of Khusrupur police station in Patna on Saturday night. The prime accused Pramod Singh and his son Anshu Singh absconded when the incident came to the fore. A manhunt has been launched by police to arrest them.

The injured victim’s husband borrowed Rs 1,500 from Pramod Singh a few months back. Although he returned back the money with interest Pramod pressed him to pay up more.

When he refused to bow down to moneylender Pramod’s pressure, his wife faced the inhuman wrath of the moneylender and his associates.

The victim complained about threats made by the moneylender to the police. It angered Pramod and his associates.

On Saturday night, Pramod and his associates forcefully took the victim to Pramod’s house. There, she was allegedly disrobed and beaten up. Then Pramod asked his son to urinate on the victim’s face, which he did.

Bihar police have registered a case and have formed five police teams to search out the absconding accused persons.
