“Disease X” Pandemic May Claim 5 Crore Lives in Future, Warn Health Experts

COVID-19 was just a trailer, the real devastating pandemics may hit the world in the future, cautioned health experts around the world, reported the Daily Mail.

Dame Kate Bingham, who chaired the UK’s Vaccine Taskforce, has given a threatening warning that the next pandemic could claim at least 50 million lives in future. According to health experts, the COVID-19 was not that lethal!

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has dubbed the anticipated next pandemic as “Disease X”. According to WHO, this possible pandemic may have started to make its roots silently.

According to WHO, COVID-19, which emerged in 2019, claimed nearly seven million lives across the world.

Dame Kate Bingham felt Disease X may be more than seven times as lethal as COVID-19. She also predicted that the next pandemic might originate from an existing virus.

“Imagine Disease X is as infectious as measles with the fatality rate of Ebola, which is 67 per cent. Somewhere in the world, it’s replicating, and sooner or later, somebody will start feeling sick,” she said.
