Double Tragedy: Five of a Family among Six Dead in Two Road Accidents in Telangana

A family in Telangana suffered a double tragedy as five of its members were among the six persons killed in two road accidents in Nalgonda district.

A vehicle carrying six persons to an accident site collided with an oil tanker early on Monday. Four of them died and three others were seriously injured.

According to the police, two persons including a pedestrian were killed in the first accident near Vempahad in Nidamanoor mandal on Sunday night. The deceased were Keshavulu (28), who was riding a motorbike and the pedestrian Saidulu (55).

Hearing about the accident, seven members of Keshavulu’s family rushed towards the accident site in a Tata Ace vehicle early on Monday. Their vehicle crashed into an oil tanker, barely half a kilometre from the first accident spot where Keshavulu was killed.

Three persons died on the spot while the fourth succumbed at the hospital. The deceased were identified as Ramavat Ganaiah (40), Pandiah (40), Bujji (38) and Nagaraju (28).
