Dr. CV Ananda Bose Appointed As Governor of West Bengal

New Delhi: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu appointed former bureaucrat Dr. CV Ananda Bose as the regular governor of West Bengal on Thursday. The appointment of Dr. Bose was announced by President’s office in a statement.

Ajay Kumar Singh, Press Secretary to the President on Thursday reiterated Dr. Bose’s appointment, “The President of India is pleased to appoint Dr. CV Ananda Bose as regular Governor of West Bengal. The appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”

Since West Bengal’s former governor Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned after being named the vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Manipur Governor La Ganesan had been given the additional charge of West Bengal.
