Earthquake of 4.3 Magnitude Hits Andaman Nicobar Islands

New Delhi: An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude hit Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the wee hours of Thursday. There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake happened at 4.17 am, and the depth of the quake was 61 km.

As these islands are on a seismically active belt, earthquakes frequently hit the region.

An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the Nicobar Islands on Wednesday.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were felt at around 5:40 am. Its epicenter was at a depth of 10 Km.
