Employment Fraud Racket Busted in Balasore, 9 Arrested

Balasore: An interstate racket involved in conning youths in the name of providing jobs was busted in Balasore district on Monday. Nine persons involved in this racket were arrested by police.

According to police sources, the arrested persons included Biswaranjan Mohapatra from Khurda, Mohammed K Siddique from Visakhapatnam, Saina Parveen, Mushtaque Ali Khan and Mohammed Kamaruddin from Jadupur area of Bhubaneswar outskirts,  Ajay Kumar, Rajkumar and Deepak Kumar from Bihar and Bijendra Kumar from Bhubaneswar.

According to the Balasore SP, Sagaraika Nath, these fraudsters had brought a group of job aspirants from outside Odisha to Balasore on Monday to appear in the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination. The cheats had promised to provide duplicate question papers to the candidates.

Led by Biswaranjan this fake job racket was operating in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. This gang was targeting jobseekers and gobbling up Rs 10 to 15 lakh from each job aspirant in the name of providing employment.

Biswaranjan has several criminal cases pending against him at police stations in Balugaon, Khurda, Nirakarpur, Ganjam and Aska.
