Ex-MLA Jagneswar Babu Joins BJP, Had Left Congress

Balangir: Former MLA Jagneswar Babu joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha’s Balangir district. He had recently resigned from the Congress.

He was officially welcomed to the saffron fold along with his supporters by the Balangir MP Sangita Kumari Singhdeo in the BJP party office in Balangir town.

In 1990, Babu was elected as an MLA on a Janata Dal ticket. Later on, he joined the BJD. After resigning from the BJD, he had joined the Congress. He resigned from the Congress on April 3.
