Explosion Near Israel Embassy, Threat Letter Found, CCTV Captures 2 Suspects

New Delhi: A blast occurred near the Israel embassy in New Delhi on Monday evening. No injuries or casualties were reported. Security was enhanced in the area following the explosion.

Quoting sources India Today reported that two suspects were caught on CCTV near the blast site and efforts are underway to track their movements and apprehend them.

A typed letter in English addressed to the Ambassador of the Israeli embassy, wrapped in an Israeli flag, was found near the blast site, reported India Today TV. In the letter an outfit named “Sir Allah Resistance” claimed responsibility for the blast.

The blast occurred at around 5:08 pm on Monday. Following the incident, security was tightened around all Israeli establishments in India.

In 2021, several cars were damaged in a blast near the Israeli embassy in Delhi. In 2012, a bomb was planted under an Israeli embassy car had injured a diplomat’s wife.
