Former Union Min Chandrasekhar Sahu to Head BJD’s Manifesto Committee

Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday appointed former Union Minister and Berhampur MP Chandra Shekhar Sahu as the party Vice President and Chairman of the party’s Manifesto Committee for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.

Before joining the BJD, Chandra Sekhar Sahu was a member of the Indian National Congress. He was Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development in the Central government in the past.

In the 15th Lok Sabha Election of India, he lost to Siddhanta Mahapatra of the BJD. Sahu later joined the BJD to get elected as Berhampur MP in 2019.
