Ganja, Gutkha, Khaini, Bidi Seized During Police Raid in Jharpada Jail

Bhubaneswar: Several items prohibited for prisoners were seized during a police raid led by Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh at the Jharpada Special Jail in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the raiding team included two Additional DCPs, all five ACPs, 11 Inspectors including IICs, and 22 SIs as well as with four platoons of police force.

During the raids in the Jharpada jail, the police team seized ganja, gutkha, khaini, bidi, tobacco products, match boxes, and lighters from the jail premises.

The raid follows a violent clash inside the jail. It was suspected that illegal narcotics trade was the reason behind this clash.
