Govt Employee Shot Dead by Terrorists in Rajouri Dist of Jammu

Jammu: Terrorists shot dead a government employee outside a mosque in the Rajouri district of Jammu on Monday evening.

This killing took place in the Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency region a few hours after DGP RR Swain reviewed the security situation ahead of the Lok Sabha election in the area.

According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Mohammad Razaq, a resident of Kunda Tope, Shahdara Sharief. He was critically injured in the firing incident at his native village. He died while being shifted to the hospital.

Razaq was an employee in the social welfare department. His brother serves as a soldier in the Territorial Army.

Security forces started a search operation in the area to nab the terrorists involved in the killing.
