Govt Engineer Molests Woman At His Govt Quarters In Sundargarh Dist

Sundargarh: An Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) posted in Tangarpali block of Odisha’s Sundargarh district allegedly molested a woman at his government quarters on Wednesday evening.

The victim registered a complaint against the accused engineer identified as Umesh Nayak at the Lephripara police station.

According to the victim, the engineer had asked her to cook food for him at his residence. On Wednesday evening, when she entered the kitchen, the engineer allegedly groped her and tried to rape her. In her police complaint, the victim claimed that the accused tore her clothes.

To save herself, the woman shouted for help and ran out pushing Nayak away. Hearing her shout, locals to the engineer’s quarters and asked him to come out and confront the woman. But he locked himself inside the house. The personnel of the Lephripara police station have started an investigation into the matter.
