BJP Will Form Govt in Odisha, Reiterates Rajnath Singh

Nabarangpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in Odisha, reiterated senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is on a visit to the state on Thursday.

“Odisha also needs a double-engine government. According to political analysts, we will form the government in Odisha this time,” he said during his address to the BJP workers at the Karyakarta Sammelan in Nabarangpur on Thursday.

Rajnath Singh claimed that the Modi government always performs what it promises. He said that the Congress might have laid several foundation stones in Odisha during its tenure. But the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays the foundation stones and inaugurates the projects as well.

He said, “We do what we say. We had said that Article 370 will be abolished in Jammu and Kashmir. We did it. We have abolished the evil practice of triple talaq. We had said that we will build a grand temple in Ayodhya. Today a grand temple has been built in Ayodhya.”

He claimed that the number of medical and engineering colleges has increased in Odisha during the BJP led government at the Centre.

He urged the BJP workers to dedicate 12 hours every day to the party and nation building. “Do visit houses, meet the beneficiaries to make them aware about the government schemes,” he said.

In Nabarangpur, he attended the meeting of core committees and functionaries in charge of general election of four Parliamentary constituencies of Balangir, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi at Nabarangpur.

From there he will visit Berhampur, where supporters of Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahy will join the BJP in presence of Singh. In Berhampur he will meet party workers from five Parliamentary constituencies of Aska, Berhampur, Kandhamal, Khurda and Puri.

Rajnath Singh’s third meeting with party workers will be in Baripada, where he will meet BJP leaders from Bhadark, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
