Gunfight Breaks Out Between Terrorists and Security Forces in Pulwama Dist of J&K

Srinagar: An exchange of fire broke out between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

“#Encounter has started at Parigam area of #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” said Kashmir Zone Police in a post on X.

According to sources, receiving information about the presence of some terrorists, the police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the Parigam area.

This led to a brief exchange of fire between the terrorists and security forces. The cordon has been tightened and search operation has been intensified in the area.

No casualties have been reported so far.
