Hemant Soren to be Sworn in As Jharkhand CM Today

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Thursday invited Hemant Soren to form government in the state. He will be sworn in as Jharkhand Chief Minister at 5 pm on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Champai Soren resigned as Chief Minister. Following it, Hemant Soren, who is out on bail in a money laundering case, staked claim to form the government.

According to JMM sources, Hemant Soren, who was unanimously elected as the legislature party leader by the JMM-led alliance in the state, will take oath as the Chief Minister on July 7.

A JMM-led alliance delegation met Governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The delegation included Hemant Soren, Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur, RJD minister Satyanand Bhokta and Kalpana Soren, the Gandey MLA and wife of Hemant Soren.
