India Calls For ‘Immediate De-Escalation’ Between Israel, Iran

New Delhi: India has expressed deep concern regarding the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, urging an immediate de-escalation of the conflict. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a statement on Sunday following Iran’s missile attack on Israel, reportedly in retaliation for an alleged Israeli airstrike on its consulate in Damascus on April 1.

In its official communication, the MEA emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the potential threat it poses to regional peace and security. India called for all parties involved to exercise restraint, refrain from violence, and prioritize diplomatic solutions.

The MEA emphasized India’s active monitoring of the evolving scenario and assured that its embassies in the affected regions are closely liaising with the Indian community. Stressing the importance of maintaining security and stability in the region, India reiterated its commitment to peaceful resolution and urged all stakeholders to work towards de-escalation.
