Srinagar: An infiltration bid was foiled along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector of Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday. A terrorist trying to infiltrate India from Pakistan side was shot dead during the operation.

Army personnel are continuing the search operation in the area looking for more terrorists who may be hiding in the region. According to police sources, the terrorists were trying to infiltrate, taking advantage of poor visibility and bad weather.

On October 21, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and intelligence agencies thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector. Six pistols and four hand grenades were recovered from the intruders.
