Army Jawan Injured in Encounter with Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: An Army jawan was injured in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora on Wednesday. This encounter occurred when security forces were involved were conducting searches in Chintibandi village after receiving input of a terrorist hideout.

The hiding terrorists fired at the security forces which resulted in a gunfight, during which the jawan was injured.

The police said contact was established between terrorists and security forces early in the morning in the Renji forest area.

Meanwhile, helicopters have been sent to the area to aid the anti-terrorist operation continuing in the area.
