7 Maoists Including 2 Female Cadres Killed in Encounter in Chhattsgarh’s Narayanpur Dist

Raipur: At least seven Maoists, including two female cadres, were slain in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district on Tuesday.

A huge quantity of arms and ammunition including one AK 47 were seized from the spot of the exchange of fire.

The gunfight between the Maoists and a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) broke out in a forest on Tuesday morning.

The security personnel were involved in an anti-Maoist operation in Abujmarh of the Narayanpur and Kanker border area since Monday.

The encounter happened in the forest between villages Tekmeta and Kakur. The bodies of seven Maoists including two females were recovered from the spot. Efforts are on to identify the slain Maoists.
