Interstate Gang Selling Balloon During Day, Looting at Night, Busted in Balangir, 8 Arrested

Balangir: Eight members of an interstate criminal gang involved in loots and other crimes in Odisha were arrested by the police in Balangir district. The arrested persons are from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

According to police sources, the members of the gang sell balloons and other plastic items during the daytime. Later, during night they indulge in criminal activities including robberies.

Members of the gang were nabbed by Balangir police by thorough scrutiny of CCTV footages and IT surveillance.

A goldsmith from Barpali area, who was purchasing the stolen items and used to pay using digital wallet, has also been arrested.

The gang was involved in a number of crimes in Patnagarh, Bolangir town and Khaprakhol areas.
