Karnataka Ex-Cop’s Techie Son Detained in Parliament Security Breach Case

New Delhi: The son of a retired police officer, Saikrishna Jagali, who happens to be an engineer, was taken into custody by Delhi Police from his home in Bagalkote on Wednesday night in connection with the massive security breach in Parliament. He will be brought to Delhi for interrogation.

According to reports, Saikrishna Jagali is a close friend of Manoranjan D, one of the two intruders who made unauthorized entry into the Lok Sabha chamber and set off coloured smoke.

Saikrishna and Manoranjan were classmates at a Bengaluru engineering college. Saikrishna’s father is a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Till now six persons have been arrested in the Parliament security breach case. The arrested accused include Manoranjan and Sagar Sharma, who trespassed into the Lok Sabha, Amol Shinde and Neelam Azad, who used smoke canisters outside parliament, Lalit Jha, the mastermind of the security breach, and Mahesh Kumawat, who allegedly helped Jha.
