Landfall of Cyclone Michaung Begins in South Andhra, To Continue for 3 Hrs

New Delhi: The landfall process of the Severe Cyclonic Storm Michaung began on the Andhra Pradesh coast on Tuesday noon, informed IMD. The process will continue for next 3 hours. According to the IMD forecast, during the landfall, the severe cyclonic storm will have a maximum sustained wind speed of 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph.

As per IMD, the severe cyclonic storm Michaung moved nearly northwards and crossed the South Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla, 190 km north of Chennai and 190 km south-southwest of Machilipatnam.
