Man Lynched, Body Hung from Tree in Malkangiri for Lethal Attack on Woman

Malkangiri: Angry villagers thrashed a man to death and hung his body upside down from a tree after he allegedly attacked a woman in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Thursday.

The deceased was Deba Madkami of Korukonda. He had allegedly made a lethal attack on a woman in his neighbourhood with a sharp weapon. Why he attacked the woman is known yet.

In retaliation, the angry family members of the injured woman took law into their own hands and lynched Deba to death. Then they hung his body upside down to a tree.

Receiving information, Malkangiri police reached the spot, seized the body and started an investigation. Four persons have been arrested in connection to this murder.

According to sources, the injured woman is undergoing treatment in Kalimela hospital.
