Married Indian Woman, Who Went to Pakistan to Wed Facebook Pal, Returns Back

New Delhi: Anju, the married woman from Rajasthan who went to Pakistan in July 2023 to meet and marry her Facebook friend has returned back to India through the Attari-Wagha border late Wednesday night.

After entering India with her face covered with a mask, she said, “I am happy. I have nothing else to say.”

Anju from Bhiwadi in Rajasthan was married to Arvind and the couple has a 15-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter.

In 2019, she met Nasrullah on Facebook and the two fell in love. Without knowledge of her family, she went to Pakistan, converted to Islam, and changed her name to Fatima to marry Nasrullah.

But for some reason, she again expressed the desire to return back to India. According to NDTV, Anju reportedly discussed returning to India with her husband Nasrullah but couldn’t travel due to troubles with her visa. Earlier, she was slated to return in October but did not get a visa.

Meanwhile, her first husband Arvind filed several cases against Anju in the Bhiwadi police station on several charges, including for fraudulent second marriage and murder.
