‘Mo Bus’ to Be Renamed ‘Ama Bus’, Odisha H&UD Min Announces 400 More E-Buses for Fleet

Bhubaneswar: The name of the ‘Mo Bus’ service in Odisha will be changed to changed to ‘Ama Bus’, said state Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.

The minister made this announcement while taking a ride on the ‘Mo Bus’ from Master Canteen Square to Press Chhak in Bhubaneswar. During the trip, he interacted with the passengers and staff of the urban bus service and enquired about their problems.

“The system of the ‘Mo Bus’ service will be changed first. Then, the name of the service and colour of the buses will be changed following discussion with the Chief Minister,” said Mahapatra.

He stated that more buses will run under the scheme. He informed that as many as 400 more electric buses will be added to the fleet soon.

As many as 100 of these buses will run in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, while the rest will ply in other cities, he said. LAccMI bus scheme in Odisha was recently renamed by the BJP government as ‘Mukhyamantri Bus Seva’.
